Each hardbound Directory is divided into a Companies
section, a Products section and a Regions section. There is also
a company index containing an alphabetical listing of full company
names, abbreviated names, common names and former names.
COMPANIES SECTION
The Companies section of each Directory is organized
alphabetically by company name, and in the case of multi-country
Directories, further organized alphabetically by country.
Company listings contain the following information:
- Addresses—Corporate and divisional
headquarters address and telecommunications data (telephone,
telefax) plus increasing data about e-mail and website addresses.
- Plant locations—City, state and postal
code for each manufacturing location.
- Products—Specific chemical products
manufactured at each plant site.
- Ownership & subsidiaries—Information
regarding ownership of each listed company, and listings of
all regional chemical manufacturing subsidiaries and affiliates.

PRODUCTS SECTION
The Products section provides the following information:
- Product names—Specific chemical product
names and alternate names.
- Company and plant locations—A list
of regional manufacturers for
each product.
- Cross-references—Alternate names
are cross-referenced to assist in locating products.
- Product groups—Many products are organized
into functional or chemical groups to assist in surveying classes
of related products. Examples of these groups are Enzymes,
Fibers and Plasticizers.
- Capacity data—Plant-by-plant nameplate
capacity data are provided for some large volume commodity
chemicals and polymers.

REGIONS SECTION
The Regions section of each Directory is organized
geographically, first by country, then by state, province or
county, and finally by city or town. Cities are listed alphabetically
at the beginning of each country listing, with a cross-reference
to the state, province or country in which the city is located.
Each town or city contains a listing of all companies maintaining
chemical manufacturing facilities at that location.

Inquiry Service
In addition,
a free inquiry service is provided with each Directory subscription.
Inquiries are undertaken on a "best effort" basis,
typically using information sources within SRIC. Typical examples
of data available are updated or historical producer information
and historical capacity figures. |
